Storm The bastille 5k Run / Walk
THURSDAY JULY 11th at 9pm
Run through the streets of Downtown Milwaukee with 5,000 of your closest friends! Runners and walkers kick off Bastille Days with the annual Storm the Bastille 5K Run/Walk, in honor of the 18th century attack on the Bastille prison in Paris. The 5-K run and 2-mile walk will take place on opening night of the festival, July 11th at 9pm. This year’s 5K run/walk will begin on North Jefferson Street, adjacent to Cathedral Square Park. The course will lead participants through the scenic streets of downtown Milwaukee & the Historic Third Ward.

Packet Pickup Info:
Thank you to the people who picked up last night early. Packet pickup is 7-8:45pm under the white tent on the corner of Wells and Jefferson Streets by Taylor's Bar. Please arrive early as we need to shut the tent down at 8:45pm to prepare for the race. Have QR code ready.
**PICKUP will close at 8:45pm so arrive early to avoid lines**
Parking:
The hop is open until 9pm so you can park anywhere along the route and ride it to Cathedral Square for FREE. If you are driving down there are 700 spots in the BMO Harris Parking garage. Arrive prior to 8pm to avoid road closures. Here are the instructions:
Parking Instructions
Runners:
Fast runners please make your way to the front. Average to slower runners please hang out in the back by cathedral square park and let the aggressive runners go first. Your timing starts when you cross the Start Line and ends when you cross the Finish line so there’s plenty of time to complete the race so you do not need to rush to the front.
Walkers:
Please hang out in the back by Cathedral square park and let the runners take off. Also if you plan only to walk half the race please make sure you end your race at Wells street and walk directly back to the park and avoid Jefferson Street and the finish.
Water Locations:
There will be water locations on Broadway just over halfway through the race in front of the Milwaukee Athletic Club and also at the finish on Wells street by the Kroger truck.
Start / Finish Line:
The start line will be on Jefferson street heading south and end in the same location. When you finish please proceed to the Kroger water truck on Wells street. You can then redeem the FREE water or beer at any bar location.
Post-Race Beverage
On your bib is the drink coupon. Rip off to redeem at any of our bars. You can also choose from any beer or water. (Beer only, no seltzers or wine)

- Click the red “Now” text and check “Select a start time”
- Select date and time you expect to arrive at the garage
- Please ensure the date has changed
- Select the “SPECIAL EVENT $20” rate
- Enter license plate
- Click the red “Add Promo”
- Enter “JAZZ”
- Rate will be reduced by 25% to $15
- Click the pay button and follow steps to finalize payment
- When you arrive at the garage scan the QR code you received after you finalized payment
- At the exit you will need to scan the code again
