7th Annual Annual Milwaukee Taco Fest in 2021!
Created 7 years ago, Milwaukee Taco Fest has been bringing together local restaurants for a day of taco tasting, chihuahuas, margaritas, cervezas, Live Music, chili pepper eating, hot sauces and tons of great entertainment. The events main feature is lucha libre wrestling from Mondo Lucha! Attendees vote for their favorite tacos (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) and cast their ballot to see who wins the title of Milwaukee’s Best Taco!
Over 15,348 tacos were consumed in 2019.

Aside from plenty of tacos to gobble up, Milwaukee Taco Fest will have other entertainment! There is a full bar that will have beer, margaritas, and other cocktails (ID must be shown to purchase alcoholic beverages).
Taco Fest will also have an action packed wrestling match with Milwaukee’s own Lucha Libre wrestlers. Finally, there will be a live Mariachi band, a Chili Pepper Eating Contest, a Chihuahua Beauty Contest, and more!

What Is Milwaukee Taco Fest?
Milwaukee Taco Fest is a fun event for all ages! Guests will try tacos from Milwaukee-area vendors and vote for which taco deserves the title of Milwaukee’s Best Taco. Tacos aside, the event features drinks such as beer and Margaritas, live music, and entertainment activities! Over 15,348 tacos were consumed last year! The event takes place August 1st, 2021!
Where is Milwaukee Taco Fest located?
Henry W. Maier Festival Grounds - 200 N Harbor Drive, Milwaukee WI (Summerfest® Grounds). Enter at midgate.
Is there parking?
Parking located at Lot G and Lot M. You will enter at the midgate.
Do I need a ticket to attend?
Yes and make sure you get them quickly as the event does sell out.
What do tickets include?
All tickets include admission price to the event, access to restaurant booths, access to a full bar, Live Wrestling matches to entertain you provided by Mondo Luncha, live music and more! The MAS Package comes with 4 tacos included, and the VIP Package (Limited amount of tickets) includes unlimited tacos for an hour and early entry.
Additional Taco Tickets will be available for $3 per ticket
What are Taco Tickets?
Taco tickets are considered your taco-currency. Taco tickets are what you will give a vendor in trade for one of their delicious tacos. Vendors will be collecting all of the tickets they receive throughout the event, which in return are counted to see who sold the most tacos, as well as how many total tacos will have been consumed! Local vendors get money back from each ticket that they collect to help them cover their taco costs and make some money at the event.
Can I buy more Taco Tickets at the event if I need any or run out?
Additional Taco Tickets can be purchased at the event for $3 per ticket.
Does the event support a charity?
Yes, always!
How big are the portion sizes of the tacos?
While you will be “sampling” tacos at Milwaukee Taco Fest, you will not be getting sample sizes! Each vendor will have a full sized taco for you to try.
How do we vote for our favorite Taco?
You will fill out a ballot where you can write in your Top 3 favorite tacos! Ballots will then be counted to help determine our winners. A Judge’s Choice Taco will also be selected.
What restaurants are going to be at Milwaukee Taco Fest?
We are continually adding vendors as the event date approaches, the best way to check our website's "Vendor" Page or on our Facebook! Typically we will have 13-16 restaurants from all over Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
What kind of entertainment will be at Milwaukee Taco Fest?
Aside from plenty of tacos to gobble up, Milwaukee Taco Fest will have other entertainment! I want to bring my kids, is that allowed?
Yes! Milwaukee Taco Fest is a family friendly event for all to enjoy. Kids under the age of 7 are FREE to enter.
If any family member is of-age and plans on enjoying some beverages, they will need to present an ID to the bartender.
Are dogs allowed?
NO DOGS ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR PAGEANT & SERVICE DOGS
